REMEMBERING OUR BIG REDS
This page is dedicated to members of the Big Red football team who have passed. They are honored here, sharing their memories, as they will forever be a part of the Chippewa football family.
Nick Ureel was a member of our 2014 class who fought bravely, but ultimately lost his battle with cancer in April 2014. He was an exceptional human being who was the epitome of what it means to be selfless. Nick was the perfect illustration of what it means to care more for your fellow man than for one's self. He was a devoted teammate; the definition and standard of what it means to be a Big Red. NU74
Alex Mackmin was a member of our 2017 class who passed away in May 2015. He had a tremendous work ethic, yet still stayed humbled. He was deeply loved by his family and friends. AM16
Duncan Blair was a member of our 2016 class who died tragically in an ORV accident in August 2015, days before the start of the 2015 season. He was the definition of what it meant to be a team player; always working tirelessly to improve himself and those around him. He came to work and get better every single day, with a huge smile on his face and love in his heart. Duncan was as hard-nosed as a player could come, but still centered his life on serving and caring for others more than himself. DB34
Brian Schieweck was a member of our 2018 class, who was a captain on our 2017 team. He played with relentless effort and passion. He always gave everything he had and was constantly trying to improve; always responding with any type of direction with an enthusiastic, "Yes, Coach". Brian had an energy and spirit to him that would radiate to everyone around him, making any interaction one that was filled with joy and optimism. BS2
